Webvork ("we," "us," or "our") operates Samurai Beat, a rhythm game for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the app and how that information is handled.
Summary
Samurai Beat is designed to work without an account. We do not require you to sign in, and we do not sell your personal information. Most data stays on your device.
Information We Collect
Samurai Beat collects very little information:
- Game progress stored on your device. The app saves local gameplay data such as XP, level, per-song star ratings, high scores, and number of games played. This is stored using Apple's on-device storage (UserDefaults) and is not transmitted to our servers.
- No account information. We do not collect your name, email address, or other account credentials within the app.
- No location data. The app does not access or collect your location.
Information We Do Not Collect
As of this version, Samurai Beat does not:
- Run third-party advertising
- Use third-party analytics SDKs
- Upload gameplay data to external servers
- Access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera
How We Use Information
Local game progress is used only to provide in-app features such as leveling up, tracking personal bests, unlocking Creative mode, and displaying your results after each run.
Data Storage and Retention
Your progress is stored locally on your device. If you delete the app, this locally stored data is removed with it. We do not maintain a separate copy on our servers.
Children's Privacy
Samurai Beat is suitable for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not collect personal account data, no parental consent mechanism is required for data submission to us.
Third-Party Services
The app may link to the Apple App Store for downloads or updates. Apple's handling of your information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
This website (if hosted separately) may be served by a hosting provider such as Netlify. Standard server logs from the hosting provider may include IP address, browser type, and page requests. We do not use those logs to identify individual app users.
Your Choices
- You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the app.
- You can reset local progress by deleting and reinstalling the app.
International Users
Samurai Beat is offered globally. Because gameplay data remains on your device, cross-border data transfer by us is minimal.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be noted in App Store release notes.
